How to re-create (restore) WA's /wa.bak in case of directory being deleted?

Question:

How to re-create (restore) WA's /wa.bak in case of directory being deleted?

Customer Environment:

1) OS for WebALARM Agent (WAA): Linux

2) WebALARM (WA) version: v4.3.X

Answer:

Refer to manual workaround below:

1. Access the affected WAA database via WAC and select the database.

2. The "Database" tab screen will be displayed on your right.

3. You have an option to change the location of the /wa.bak directory inside the "Backup" section OR else you can leave it as default.

(Note: In this case, no manual creation of /wa.bak is required)

4. Click a "Save" button below.

5. Once it saved successfully, then you should be able to see the /wa.bak being created automatically based on the "Backup Directory" location set.

More information:

Deleting and re-creating the Database is not recommended as more steps will incur to get the /wa.bak folder being created compared to the steps provided above.
